This is not a comprehensive list of all restaurants in the area. However, we think it’s a pretty good list to keep you busy for a while. If there is a review link, it means that we’ve personally eaten there and want to tell you about our experience. You can also visit the Recent Reviews page to see our latest reviews.
On the Mountain Dining
Der Fondue Chessel – This a very fun and very satisfying restaurant experience at the top of North Peak in the Outpost Lodge. Read our review….
Alpenglow Stube – This is one of the best restaurant experiences that you’ll find anywhere in Summit County. This restaurant is also at the top of North Peak with only two gondola rides between you and taste bud heaven. Bring the kids if you absolutely must, but a local baby sitter and take-out pizza would be much cheaper. We haven’t reviewed this yet in 2007-2008, but we definitely plan to as soon as possible. In River Run Village
Kickapoo Tavern – This is the best place in River Run for a burger and beer. Ask anyone in the village where to eat and this will be one of the top recommendations. Located on the “gondola-side” of the village before the bridge. Phone – 970-468-4601.
Paisano’s Italian -This family Italian eatery is located next to Starbucks in the center of the village. It’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Phone – 970-496-4374.
Wolf Brewing -Steaks and microbrews share the stage in this brew pub located in the center of River Run. Reservations are recommended. Phone – 970-262-2202.
Close to the Village
The Haywood Cafe - This pub located just outside of River Run Village at the Gateway Plaza is a great place to grab a burger and avoid the crowds in River Run Village. Read more in our review….
